Grip Limited is a privately owned corporation with one office in Toronto, Canada. It provides strategy and creative services to a client list that includes Honda Canada, Labatt Breweries of Canada, Janssen-Ortho, Glaxo-Smith Kline, Cadbury Adams and Lululemon Athletica. Grip was founded in January 2002 with Labatt as its first Client. The eight founding Partners of Grip came together at that time to fill a gap that existed in the market. With little differentiation between the big, public advertising agencies and the small, creative boutiques, the promise of a real alternative did not exist for large advertisers. Grip Limited is that alternative. Large advertisers want to work with the best talent and Grip has the highest concentration of senior talent in the country with a total staff of 90, Grip’s scope of services includes communication strategy. In 2004 Grip’s capabilities were expanded with the addition of seven new Partners. With this expanded roster of talent and a total staff of 95, Grip’s scope of services expanded to include communication strategy, concept development and creative execution for advertising, promotion, direct marketing, web design, Interactive communications and graphic design.
